Is it WAR!!!!

Is war ever necessary? Why? Why not?


I think that war is always used to intimidate people. I don't findit necessary because of all the people that die and loose their families do to it. Their are other ways to deal with very difficult situation and way shouldnt be the first option to come in mind. It's better to keep your enemis closer than your friend so you know what their capable of and you prety much feed them what they want to hear with caution.

1. If the scientific revolutin wouldnt of happend I wouldnt know that the planets move through gravity.
2. We wouldn't be studieng calculus.
3.If the enlightenment wouldn't of happend we wouldn't have the government that we have today.
4. Our society would probably be corrupted more than it is.
5. The political revolution brought a better way to govern with out it we would be governed by a very cruel rulet.
6. The people would be starving.
7. The industrial revolutin brought new machinary which made it easy for us to work.
8. It also gave us a new middle class and with hard work any one can have money now/

Exploration

How did European exploration and colonization forever change the landscape and lives of people in the Old World and the New World?

Exploration changed everithing for both world. The new world receved new animals, they got introduced to lots of new foods as well, but they also had lots of diseases come from Europe which killed lots of people. The old wolrd had new spices and new territory.The slaves that were brought from Africa had the bigest life change because they were forced to work after the natives were almost wiped out. They sufered the most being separated from their families. The Europeans really did change everythig.

The unknown!

It is the year 2020 and you, an astronaut, have been asked to lead a voyage into a part of outer space that very little is known about. Would you go?

I think I would go because its a one in a life time chance to travel into outer space. Even if i don't come back or the air craft gets lost up their at least I had the opportunity to travel and see things that I have never seen before. I would have at least seen stars and discovered new things that would be published all around the world if I was to come back safe. The though of going into outer space excites me and I think that it would be a good experience.

Inventions

What modern invention has had as great of an effect on the spread of knowledge in our society as the printing press did on Renaissance society? Why?

The printing press was used to make copies of book so people have of their own. They would recopy bibles which gave people the opportunity to read it for them selves. It also made it easier on the monks who had to spend time doing it day by day. This was in their time. I think that in our time an invention that has had as great of an effect has been the computer. Instead of writing people type like with the printing press. They don't have to get a book out and search for information they can use the computer and get research. The computer is a way of getting in touch with friends over in other countries. They both have things in comen to me because they are both every popular in each era.

ONE DAY AT A TIME!!

Do you agree with the famous Latin saying carpe diem? Why? or Why not?

I personally don't agree with the saying. I think life should be lived one step at a time but also the future should be kept in mind. The present reflects on the future and what it holds for you. If you live your life one day at a time with no concern of the future who is going to support you! You only have one life to live and you should live it but you cant let the fun you have prevent you from having a future and being some one.

Religions Fieldtrip!!

The first place we got to was the AL-Huda Islamic center. The speakers was Dr. Rasheed. When we got their as we walked in we were asked to take our shoes of. This was asked of us because we were going to enter their praying ground and they have to keep it as clean as possible. The speaker was very friendly and kind. He gave us plenty of information on his religion. I learned that when women are going to pray at the temple they have to be covered up. On the outside the building didn't seem so holy but as you walk in everything changes. Their were lots of books and their carpet was pretty. I asked a question and Dr. Rasheed answered it with detail and Understood more ' When a baby girl is born is her head also shaved?' I enjoyed every moment we spent their and I'm glad we went.

The second place we went to was the congregation of children of Israel. The speaker was Rabbi Gerson. As we approached the building I was speechless because their church is beautiful outside and in. When you walk in everything looks in place and you feel welcomed. What was so interesting to me were the scrolls that the rabbi took out they were written in Hebrew. The rabbi answered all of the questions that we had and provided us information that was very help full to understand his religion.

The third place we went to was the St. Joseph's catholic church. The speaker was Deccan Grutsch. The church had lots of art in the inside which was beautiful but made me feel a little sad. I learned that wine represents Jesus' blood and the bread his body. As they take this in their mouth they return quietly to their seat neal and pray. The Deccan was a good speaker and answered all of our questions. He was very friendly and nice.
